If you've read the history of
this website you'll notice at least one name pop up consistently - that's Jeremiah
Lewis, which is me. I've been working this site pretty much solo since I
took over full-time management of it back in Fall of '99. Hmmmm...what can I say
about myself that will prove to be of interest?
I'm 21 years old, a senior at Virginia Tech. I'll
graduate in December of 2002 with a BA in English, possibly a Communications minor.
I plan on attending graduate school for film, but at this point, I have no idea where I'll
be. I'm single (there's always been just one of me) and enjoy movies, reading,
writing, and music. I play guitar (who doesn't nowadays?) and am active in my local
church.
I'm a Christian, which doesn't mean that I'm a stuck up
prig goody-goody. All it means is that I try to make my life a reflection of the
hope I have in the salvation of Jesus, who I believe died for me and for everyone.
My interest in Tolkien goes back to when I was about 11
or 12 when my older brother gave me a copy of The Hobbit to read over Thanksgiving break.
I devoured it, and dove into LotR with abandon. What started from that was a
desire to just discover more about this wonderful world I'd been handed. I went so
far as to learn the writing of Sindarin Elvish - unfortunately, I have long since
forgotten it. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about the world of
Tolkien - ask me something and most likely I'll have an answer for you, especially if it
relates to Tolkien trivia type stuff.
My desire with this website is to offer something to the
community, hopefully enriching others' knowledge of the great world of Tolkien and giving
them the same desire to discover that I had (and still have).
You may contact me through email at my school address, webmaster
or you can contact me through IM (Instant Messenger) with the buddy name of F8x
Mulder. I have limited time to talk on IM, so please only use that if you need to
talk about something quite important.
